The Next release 2012

Picture
This latest release finds the Cowboys and producer Bill Drescher crafting more flawlessly arranged "ear candy". With guitarist Ralph Perucci and bassist Rick Laub sharing lead vocal duty, the bands music becomes more and more like reading a good book... you can't put it down or, in this case, you can't stop listening. The guys, also featuring guitarist Bruce Stevenson and drummer Ian Thomson, have plans to follow these first five songs with material to finish off this album in the very near future and, after listening to these five, you'll be thinking the same thing  I am ..."I can't wait for THE NEXT!"
(available now on iTunes)

Zero Gravity release 2006

Picture
The Alien Cowboys third Bill Drescher-produced CD, "Zero Gravity", is definitely their best work and contains 12 new original instrumental compositions along with a four-song Beatle medley. Drescher is known for his work with Rick Springfield, Richard Marx, Ringo, Nick Gilder, The Tubes and more. Gary Cirimelli also contributed to "Zero Gravity" with an engineering/producer credit on the reggae-influenced, King of Kingston. A singer and guitarist himself, Cirimelli was a pioneer in the use of computers to record music. A chance meeting with Paul Reed Smith, who was just beginning what would become a major guitar design and manufacturing business, led to lead guitarist Ralph Perucci joining PRS Guitars as a field rep as well as Smith's own band, the PRS Dragons. Paul shares lead guitar duties on Ralph's song, "Jenna's Eyes". Other guest guitarists appearing on the "Zero Gravity" CD include Austrailian guitarist and Santana protege and Micheal Jackson's lead guitar, Orianthi, trading licks with Ralph on the title track, and Favored Nations' screamer, Johnny Hiland lends some serious heat to the track, "Lead Foot Rumble". Available on iTunes and all major digital sites Guitar Nine Records

WORdS release 2008

Picture
A band primarily known for their adventurous guitar based instrumental albums, Alien Cowboys returned in 2008 with Words, a rock vocal album that keeps their musical standards high while breaking new ground. In better times, instrumental rock albums were considered a bold statement but these days are different and even the guitar-centric Alien Cowboys have something to say about living through these turbulent times. Guitarists Ralph Perucci (lead) and Bruce Stevenson (rhythm) share the vocal spotlight with solid support from Hugh Mason (vocals, bass) and drummer Ian Thomson keeping his famous beat steady. Anyone doubting the ability of an instrumental rock band to make a socially relevant and totally kick-ass CD filled with cool melodic hooks and adventurous production should give Alien Cowboys a good listen. Words will have you scratching you head thinking why didn't these guys try this kind of sound on disc earlier Music Web Express mwe3.com

Other Space release 2002

Picture
is the third album from the Alien Cowboys, a twin-guitar band featuring Ralph Perucci and Bruce Stevenson. This is high-impact instrumental rock at it's best, with eleven driving numbers sure to get the body moving and the speakers rattling. 2002: Other Space includes a cover of George Harrison's classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", which is given the Alien's 'otherworldly' treatment, and turned into a signature cover. Fans of both melodic and ripping lead guitar will hear plenty here, as Perucci handles his axe with the skill of a veteran player. Another Alien Cowboys must-have release.
